The Find: Leggings for Winter Weather

Jan 31, 2022

My home office is freezing.  Old house, big windows, one vent is a recipe for chilly fingers and toes.  But these leggings, with a light fleece-lining, help keep me warm and productive.

These CRZ Yoga Matte Brushed Workout Leggings are a little warmer than your standard legging thanks to a fleece lining.  But, importantly, they’re not too warm to wear inside.

CRZ Yoga is a nice workout brand that runs on the affordable side.  They have many fleece-lined options for winter — whether walking to the grocery store or taking your pet for a jog.  Need a warmer option?  Try their Thermal Fleece option.

Sizing in these is TTS.  I wear a small for a more fitted size 6 or a medium for a more relaxed size 8.  The sizes run XS to XL, which the guide says is 0-14.

CRZ is my legging brand of choice – wore the thermal fleece style to walk this morning (feels like in the low 20s).

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Ask the Editor: Vol. IV, No. Eighteen

Before we start today’s reader questions, I wanted to take a moment to talk a bit about mental health. For those who experience mental health challenges — whether occasionally or frequently — talking about our struggles is a double-edged sword.
