The Find: The Perfect Work Blouse

Mar 24, 2021

I found this top by accident.  I bought one.  Then, two.  Now I wear each of them once per week.  I may need to pre-purchase replacements.  But a good basic is a good basic.

Tahari ASL’s tulip sleeve blouse is the top you want to wear under suits and cardigans.  I bought this black and white.  At <$35 a top, you’ll want both.

The shape of the blouse is flattering — not too tight, not too loose.  The tulip sleeve isn’t tight or constricting, but thin enough to be comfortable under a jacket.  And the v-neck complements a blazer nicely.

Sizing runs XXS to XXL.  After consulting the size guide, that appears to run 2-18.

Looking for work blouses?  This mauve Tahari ASL blouse has an incredibly chic neckline.

I love this — just purchased both a black and white!

Is this top long enough to tuck into the Athleta pants you recommended?

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
