The Find: A Versatile Sweater for <$40

Feb 1, 2021

I love my Free People Ottoman sweaters, but I know many of you have said they’re too oversized for your liking.  This Daily Ritual sweater has the same neckline and textured knit in a more fitted silhouette.  It’s a great find for work or weekend.

This Daily Ritual sweater has a boucle texture in a horizontal knit, exactly like my Free People sweater.  The slouchy mock neck is a unique and flattering style.  It gives you the ability to wear a turtleneck style without getting an itchy neck.

The sweater comes in eight colors, some neutral and some colorful.  The material is very soft and super comfortable.

For a Zoom call, I would add a pair of dramatic floral earrings or cluster hoops.  The larger earrings complement the slightly dramatic neckline.

Check back later for two ways to style this sweatshirt.  See you then!

As a Free People Ottoman tunic devotee, I love this more fitted alternative for when I need to be a little less casual. Do you find it runs true-to-size, or should we size down (like with the Free People sweaters)

How I Combat Stink (and Stress Sweat)

It’s happened to all of us: You’re walking into a meeting and you catch a whiff of something. A slight odor. A bad smell. And you wonder, “Is that me?” You want to surreptitiously check that that unsavory aroma isn’t you, but you can’t do that here. So you just keep your arms at your […]

The Range: Best Picks from Ann Taylor

One of the questions that is often asked about D.C. fashion is: Why is there so much Ann Taylor? The answer is simple enough — the hemlines are long enough, the styles are easy to wear, almost everything is machine washable, and it’s easy to find pieces for professional offices or casual ones. Plus, there’s […]
