The Find: A Pretty Summer Dress

Jun 17, 2019

Soft prints are perfect for warmer weather.  Add a breezy dress in a modern shape, and you have a fabulous dress for almost any occasion.  So let’s see it!

Seriously, how cute is the Topshop Blue Floral Sundress?  The brightness of the Robin’s Egg blue, the breezy, relaxed feel, and the midi length are perfect for the warmer weather.  It’s $75, also comes in black, and runs to size 14.

How to wear it?   For a casual office, I would wear it solo with some black slingback flats, or add a boyfriend blazer if you want.  For a casual wedding, these great black sandals and a black clutch, with black subtle-statement earrings.

As soon as I saw the photo, I was hoping this could be the perfect dress for a late-July wedding on the water I’m attending – then I saw the size availability. So disappointing this only goes to a 14. In the words of Katie Sturino – Topshop, make my size!

Dorothy Perkins is also owned by top shop and they have a much wider size range. The quality is hit or miss, and I can no longer order from them in Canada, because of how they ship and customs charges— this has changed as I used to in the past. I do try and sometimes buy their dresses when I’m in the uk though. You may already be aware of this, but uk sizing is smaller than US sizing. I’m a 12/ 14, but I add two sizes when ordering from the uk. In Dorothy Perkins im an 18 = a us 14.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
