I was never cool. In my younger years, I saw this as a problem. At 43, I see it as incredibly freeing.
Some of my friends who were once cool trendsetters feel the need to change the socks they’re wearing to conform to the Gen-Z edicts. They feel the pull of barrel jeans. Suddenly, all of their shirts are cropped, even though they would prefer they weren’t.
Me? I could give a damn. I’m still in ankle socks. I will never wear pants that make me look like I’ve been riding a horse too long. And I couldn’t pull off a crop top when I had a 26″ waist, so what the hell would make me think it was a good idea now?
But there is one trend I have come around on: the boxy tee. But I am very particular about the boxy styles I choose. I want something a little longer, with a bit of drape, and a medium-weight fabric or heavy-weight fabric. Not an easy find. So when I do locate one, I need to share.

The Asher Oversized Tee from Reformation is a great piece for the winter-spring-early summer transition, that comes back around in early fall. It comes in several color choices. It also has a great feel to it when worn.
As for sizing, I had to size down, because (true to its name) it is oversized. Size guide put me in between an M and an L, I actually bought the M the first time and thought it had a great slouchy fit. Then, I bought the same tee in S for a slimmer fit, but it is a hair tight in the bust.
