Did I just buy a pair of corduroys?
I stood in the Nordstrom dressing room frozen in shock. What year is it? Are corduroys back? Is 19-year-old me making my fall purchases? Or is it just the cyclical nature of fashion that the pants I owned in 2001 have made a comeback?
These Kut from the Kloth corduroy pants are a great jeans alternative. The “ab fab” panel smooths, while the wide leg flatters. They give neutral tops a boost and feel perfectly fall. They offer a near identical style in plus-size.
On the model, they’re a bit short, but on my 5’7″ frame they’re perfect with a boot with a 1″ heel. If you need to hem them, the raw edge makes that easier. I made sure to treat mine with fray check to keep them looking fresh.
So what am I wearing mine with? An ivory sweater, a camel crewneck and blazer, and a silky blouse in the same color palette.
