When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
This full-skirted, poplin dress from J.Crew brings the 1950s into your wardrobe in a fun and unexpected way. The dress comes in five colors, but the black is my favorite. And the sizes run 00-24 and are all available for pre-order.
I would wear this dress with a heeled slingback and chain bracelets to work. I would also wear it with a flat raffia sandal and hoop earring to brunch. It’s a great dress for not-so-casual Friday or for a mid-week business lunch. I adore it.

Thanks for the moment of nostalgia, from someone who also spent a lot of childhood time in fabric stores browsing the pattern books.
Size down probably 2 sizes if you aren’t big in the chest. I am a pretty standard size 6 in JCrew and got this in a size 2
Would love to have this pattern.
This dress can probably be found as a Vogue vintage pattern
