The Find: This is THE Work Blouse

Jan 25, 2023

This session, my wardrobe is being cobbled together from maternity clothes (I’m belting a lot of dresses, a lot.) and affordable new purchases.  So when I spotted this top, I bought the black to try it out.  Then, I bought the other color.  It’s that good.

If you’ve been reading this blog for a minute, you know I love a ruffle.  A little drama never hurt anyone (at least in their wardrobe).  This Nic + Zoe blouse has the best ruffle detail on the placket and the sleeve.  It’s just a little something extra.

The blouse is also made of this modal fabric, so it’s thick and comfy.  I thought it would be a silky blend, and I actually like this jersey material better.  I grabbed the white, and I honestly hope they make more colors.

The blouse comes in regular and petite, sizes XS-XL.  The black also comes in plus-sizes, but limited quantities are left.  Oh, and the misses’ top is 33% off this week.

I love a ruffle, but so many wash into a big wrinkly mess. How does this one stand up in the wash?

This would be fantastic with the Signed Blake trousers from yesterday.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
