The Find: The Sweater-Dress You Need for Fall

Oct 17, 2022

Sometimes, you buy a piece of clothing and it disappoints.  You open the package, and it feels/looks cheap, only vaguely resembles the picture, or fits wrong.  Such a disappointment.

But this sweater dress from Amazon isn’t like that.  It’s the kind of piece that you drop into the group chat so that your friends don’t miss out.  The kind of piece you buy in multiple colors.  And did I mention that it’s only $59?

The Renata Rib Sweaterdress comes from Amazon’s Drop Collection.  The material is buttery soft.  The style is an easy-wearing classic.  It’s the perfect piece to dress up or dress down.

The sizing on this dress runs from XXS to 5X.  I wear a size 6, and I ordered a small.  It fits perfectly.  The dress also comes in two other colors (black and rust).  I instantly bought the black.  Because the only thing better than having one great dress is having two.

I bought this dress in black ~3 weeks ago and bought the rust color last week on prime day. I’m so happy with it — it’s going to be my fall and winter uniform basically, and it reads as more expensive than it is.

I love a sweater dress, but don’t see a length in the description and worry from the pictures it might be too long on me (5’4” on a good day). How have you found the length?

The Range: Best Picks from Ann Taylor

One of the questions that is often asked about D.C. fashion is: Why is there so much Ann Taylor? The answer is simple enough — the hemlines are long enough, the styles are easy to wear, almost everything is machine washable, and it’s easy to find pieces for professional offices or casual ones. Plus, there’s […]

The Range: Trouser Jeans

Yesterday, we chatted about not-see-through tees. Today, I want to talk about jeans. I am so grateful wide leg denim is back in a big way. And if you’re going to the office, you need a trouser style jean to see you through the week (or just casual Friday). Here are some favorites in different […]
