The Find: Work Flats for Summer

Jun 22, 2022

Ann Taylor has the best selections of professional shoes for summer.  So if your shoe wardrobe is looking rough after two years of pandemic (it’s me!), get ready for the perfect summer flats for the office.  Let’s have a look.

Cork. Not a material I often think of for shoes, but one that makes this Perforated Cork Flat from AT summery and office ready.  The shoe is chic with a vibe that is both relaxed and professional. Sizes run 6-11, with some half sizes.  They also make the cork material into a pointed pump.

Other shoes at AT for summer include these tortoise slingback pump (because I love tortoise shoes) and these double-strap sandals with a decorative buckle.

And just in case you need more reason to take a trip over to AT, items listed as summer essentials are 50% off.  I love the print on this shift dress.

Perfect timing for this post- my very favorite cork summer flats that I got years ago from C.Wonder (yes, that long ago) just got a hole in the sole. These are exactly what I was looking for to replace them- and right now it is 40% off one regular priced item if you sign up for their texts!

The heel version is exactly what I need as a summer heel refresh! I don’t but leather and this cork is a modern substitute. Thank you!

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
