The Find: The Best Blouse for Summer

May 26, 2022

So let’s say you’re newly pregnant, and you don’t have much of a bump yet, but there’s something there, and it needs to be hidden.  Or maybe working out was the last thing on your mind during the pandemic, and you just want clothes that are comfortable, but look professional.  Do I have a blouse for you.

This rumple-fabric blouse from Vince Camuto (also in petite) is fantastic for several reasons.  One, the shape is almost universally flattering.  It glides along the body, but isn’t too flowy.  Second, the rumple-fabric looks great and is low maintenance.  And the price tag keeps it at an affordable <$75.

The blouse is also available in plus sizes.  And it comes in six colors.  So snap up the white and black to wear with slacks at work, and grab the orange to wear with white denim on the weekends.

Fun shirt! If anyone is looking for more like this, a few years ago Stitch Fix had lots of these flowy, silky, machine-washable shirts – though not sure if they still stock them as much. I requested non-fitted, longer cut loose tops, and got several! Good for tucking in or leaving out and flowy.

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
