The Find: The Best Pajamas for Summer

Jun 3, 2021

With the summer heat already beginning, wearing long-sleeve pajamas with long pants is not an option.  But I love the ritual of putting on ‘real’ pajamas at the end of the day.  So when I found this affordable pair from Nordstrom Rack, I was thrilled.  Let’s have a look.

These Shimera Tranquility Pajama Set is so comfortable. The shorts are loose fitting, so they’re not constricting when you sleep.  They’re also short, without being too short.

The set comes in five colors.  I like this floral print, and the traditional solid style.  The sizes run XS to XL. As for sizing, if you’re between sizes, you might want to go up.  I have both the small and the medium; they both fit, but the M is more comfortable.

If you’re looking for affordable pajamas, Bloomingdale’s Outlet always has a few discounted options.  This Kate Spade set with cute little flamingos is also on sale at Bloomingdale’s.  And if you prefer a tank-style top, this Flora Nikooz set is awesome.

Plus-Size?  These Moonlight pajamas are worth a look.  Don’t miss this pair from J.Crew Factory.

Does anyone know if Shimeria is a Nordstrom house brand? These look exactly like their Moonlight pjs but at a more affordable price. It would be amazing if they were the same because I have been looking for an additional pair!

Target has a good dupe for those – the Beautifully Soft Stars Above sets which you can mix and match.

The Range: Best Picks from Ann Taylor

One of the questions that is often asked about D.C. fashion is: Why is there so much Ann Taylor? The answer is simple enough — the hemlines are long enough, the styles are easy to wear, almost everything is machine washable, and it’s easy to find pieces for professional offices or casual ones. Plus, there’s […]

The Range: Trouser Jeans

Yesterday, we chatted about not-see-through tees. Today, I want to talk about jeans. I am so grateful wide leg denim is back in a big way. And if you’re going to the office, you need a trouser style jean to see you through the week (or just casual Friday). Here are some favorites in different […]
