This summer, all I wanted was a simple sandal that wasn’t clunky.  Easier said than done when Birkenstocks and Texas (?!) are all the rage right now.  So when I spotted this easy sandal at Nordstrom, I bought two.

BP’s Sage Slide Sandal is a perfect summer basic.  The double strap keeps the sandal securely on the foot.  But the thinness of the straps gives you a subtle look that can be worn with shorts to run errands or with a pretty sundress.

These shoes run sizes 5 to 11.  They come in six colors (I have the tan and black.).  And they run true to size.

If you like a thinner strap, the TKEES brand is very popular right now, and offers several skinny-strap styles.  If you’re looking for a slightly thicker strap, but not a Birk, these Madewell sandals are just the ticket.

Need a wide version?  I couldn’t find this exact style, but I did find an Aldo sandal with a thinner strap in wide widths.
