Last February, I purchased a knit blazer on a whim. Something to wear on casual Friday. I had no idea that every day was about the become very casual. That knit blazer was one of the purchases that has served me best during the pandemic.
This J.Crew Sweater Blazer is on limited time sale for more than half-off. It looks lovely layered over a simple sheath dress or, as the photo depicts, over loungewear.
What’s great about this blazer (I have the olive and the black) is that on a Zoom call, it looks like a jacket. But in reality, it’s a cozy sweater that doesn’t bind or constrict. I toss it on over my WFH clothes or my work clothes when I need something comfortable and professional.
The blazer comes in eight colors. I recommend the black for starters or the navy. These look the most like a blazer on Zoom. But all of the colors are great. Sizes run XXS to 3X.
Other sweaters for Zoom include this longer sweater coat or this collarless Juliette sweater jacket seen on Meghan Markle.

I own the J Crew Factory version of this sweater-blazer in five colors- I love it.
Any tricks for keeping the collar flat on the Factory version? I bought it in a couple of colors and it never lays right, even with steaming and ironing.
A friend had collar stays sewn into hers. It is now my obsession.
I wear mine up. The collar looks odd on me when it is flat. It is very narrow.
This is very timely! I have two on the way right now; the camel and the green one!
Didn’t have luck with this sweater blazer (made me look frumpy), but the J Crew Factory version with buttons was perfection. I bought it in black, gray, maroon, and hunter green!
