Long Read. The vintage sellers of Instagram are not alright.

I’m reaching a point in my life where I need to think about how much longer I can blog.  I’m not giving it up in the near future, but as I move into jobs that require more of my time, I lose the time I would have spent blogging.  Juggling it all is a challenge, and I need to think about what’s next.

Building the Thirtyish community is where I see this all going.  So if you want to subscribe to our free newsletter, #BreakThings, you can do that via email or on Instagram.  It’s a shorter, more fun version of The Edition.

If you also want to receive the paid, Sunday newsletter, it’s $6 per month.  This week, I posted about pandemic weight gain, body positivity, and the catch-22 that is being told I need to love my body but also be on a constant journey to improve it.  I refer to this conundrum as The Goop Effect, you’re perfect just as you are, but don’t forget to drink the green juice, do the yoga, and slather on the serum for that extra bit of #selfcare.

No real ‘comment’ but wanted to say I’ll be following you as long as you continue, in whatever form you decide to engage. Thank you <3.

    ^^^What LT said.
You’ve been a reliable bright spot in my days since the late aughts. Thanks for keeping up with this monumental output and for your honesty and good guidance. It’s content worth paying for.

Thanks for sharing the Lisa Frank bustle article. Surprised to see that she released a makeup collection with Morphe this past November when I backed the 2017 kickstarter for her collaboration with Glamour Dolls Makeup which never resulted in a product. Supposedly because of business issues between Glamour Dolls Makeup and Lisa Frank.

The bustle article showed Lisa in a bit better light than previous ones have, where she seemed like part of the problem too. I’d love to get to know her whole story before I can support her brand again.

Also will follow you in whatever form you continue to create content!

P.S. the J.Crew and Aday links are not working.
