The Find: A Date Night Top To Die For

Feb 2, 2021

There are only two things that guarantee an item placement on this blog: 1) it was recommended by one of four friends whose word is considered gospel, and 2) I audibly react when I spot it.  So when I saw this one sculptural, one-shoulder top and let out a “yes, please” to no one in particular, I knew it was a winner.

See!  I told you this One Sleeve Top from & Other Stories was so good.

I love the dramatic asymmetrical shape and the foldover look.  This would be such a great date night or Zoom date top.  It’s sultry, but not overly revealing, which I always enjoy.  Perfect for a low-key Valentine’s Day.  I would add a cool earring (these $10 ones are fab) to turn it up a bit.

Need a plus-size option?  This waffle-knit top from Missguided is a cute look.

Love the look of this top! I don’t love strapless bras though. I guess other than bra less that’s the only option?

I like to layer a racerback tank or bra under wideneck sweaters and tops. I did this before the pandemic, but I haven’t worn an underwire bra in nearly a year now so it’s pretty much every outfit now.

I think a convertible/strapless with one strap on would work well.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
