The bestselling item on this blog for 2019 was a pair of ankle-height Jeffrey Campbell rain boots. Campbell’s reboot for 2020 has a chunkier sole, which I’m not as into. So I went searching for an affordable alternative.
These Sam Edelman Tinsley Boots are the epitome of sleek and chic. The clean lines, small detail on the pull-tab, and flexible sides make it a stylish option for rainy days. Sizes run from 4-13, medium and wide widths. There is also a glossy option at Nordstrom Rack.

I purchased the J.Crew Factory Chelsea rain boots this spring and love them. I find them very comfortable — one day I walked about 5 miles in them with no issues. The design is pretty standard Chelsea boot style, which I like — they work well with skinny jeans, and the simple design ensures they don’t scream “these are rain boots,” which is great if you’re wearing them all day in multiple settings.

Karl Lagerfield Paris made a version of these (Lavali Rubber Chelsea Rain Boots) with extra detailing that I love, I was on the hunt forever for one that wasn’t plain. There’s a few sizes still available.

I got the Sam Edelman ones a couple of years ago…they are amazing. I got them in black and even started wearing them when it wasn’t raining. They are just a cute bootie!

Anyone in the DMV want a pair of last season’s Jeffrey Campbells, size 8? I bought them at the beginning of covid and then totally missed the nordstrom rack return window when the store reopened.
