A few of the farm stands around my house are selling the last of their summer peaches, so we’ve been looking for ways to enjoy them. But since our kitchen is a construction zone, baking is out of the question. Luckily, a commenter suggested repurposing these fruits of summer into a refreshing cocktail.
The Speckled Palate’s Summery Moscow Mule is the first cocktail on my list. We’ll need to plug our blender in to make the fresh peach puree, but that’s a small price to pay for a delicious libation. And since the cinnamon simple syrup requires a cooktop, I’ll sprinkle a little cinnamon into the glass with a bit of pre-made simple syrup.
Need copper mugs for your at-home mules? I love the look of these Crate & Barrel mugs.
An easy t-shirt dress is always on my must-have list, and this LOFT dress in a soft mauve is fabulous. It’s 50% off with code TREAT, as is everything at LOFT. So if you need just one or two things to transition out of this hot summer, now is a good time to do a little window shopping.
LOFT makes a similar dress in a sleeveless style in the same mauve (also in petite). There is also a plus-size option in a dark orange color. I’d add this mother-of-pearl resin necklace for a bit more shine.

I’ve been talking all of our half rotting fruit and mixing with with a little sugar and adding wine. Delicious and nothing goes to waste! No blender needed, just mash with a fork.
I like to muddle the fruit in the glass before I pour bourbon/vodka/etc over the top on ice. I also mash aging fruit And mix in Greek yogurt and whatever type of milk I have and make smoothie pops (I say they’re for my 14 month old but I think I like them more than her!)
