This is the time of year when I start re-evaluating my wardrobe. Which of the pieces that I bought last spring/summer, will I want to wear again this year? Which pieces can I add to my wardrobe to make those pieces go further?
Colored jeans are a great way to extend the life of your casual pieces. They add a little bit of life to basic separates. And they dress up your weekend, casual Friday, and travel looks.
These high-waisted sateen Rockstar Skinny Jeans from Old Navy are some of my favorites. I like the sateen because it’s a bit more comfortable than the denim. They also come in a mid-rise.
This mauve color is fantastic. They also have several other desert-sunset Earth tones.
Prefer traditional denim? Old Navy offers a variety of rises and colors. They also have distressed styles. And, as always, Old Navy offers tall and petite sizes, as well as plus-size pieces.

Yes to Spring wardrobe refresh! I just sent out a ThredUp Clean Out bag full of things that just didn’t work, shoes I literally have NEVER worn and accessories that sounded good at the time…and then just weren’t right for me. Always a good lesson in trends not to jump on for the next time.
I love a good cobalt jean, but haven’t seen a pair in brands that are flattering for me in a few years. Might have to go on the hunt!
Hi Abra,
Long time blog reader here.
I just wanted to recommend a
Fantastic Find—Suitably. I found it on social media and ordered the starter kit.
The clothing fit perfectly and the stylists were very helpful with sizing. I wish it had been around when I started out ten years ago.

Thanks for all your advice over the years,

I was soo excited for this post by the title … only I own those jeans (wore them two days ago!!). Any other reccs for colored jeans?
I feel like colored jeans were huge maybe 10 years ago and then kind of fell to the wayside… but they were in crayon-bright shades back then. These shades are way more pleasing to the eye!
