The Find: The Perfect <$100 Trench Coat

Feb 25, 2020

Sometimes when I’m window-shopping the Internet, I see something that is such a good deal that I must share it.  Like when you find a trench coat for less than half-price.

This London Fog trench is usually just under-$200, but Nordstrom Rack has it on deep discount in all sizes.  It runs in sizes XS to XXL.  It also comes in stone (above), navy, and black.  It’s a classic trench with a sophisticated look.

They also have a water-repellant trench in black, stone, blue, lilac and olive.  If you need a hood, this Missy trench has a removable one.

Plus-size? Kohl’s has this trench on a less significant discount.  Petite?  Macy’s has the single-breasted trench on discount.

London Fog makes great petite sized pieces, too! https://www.londonfog.com/women/special-sizes/petite-coats.html

I bought this exact same LF trench when I first started college in a much wetter and colder climate than I was used to, and it’s been 10 years and it still holds up really well. Definitely recommend it, especially at this price.

Could you say how long the sleeves are? I’m very tempted by the price but I’m six feet tall and would like the sleeves to not look totally wonky.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
