I have fought buying a puffer coat since my arrival in the Pacific Northwest in 2000. But a few weeks ago, I decided that wearing a wool dress coat to the gym or while walking my dogs probably wasn’t a good look (and will likely to ruin my coat). So I snapped up an inexpensive puffer on Amazon.
For just over $50, this Amazon Essentials coat is a great buy. It’s really warm (to my utter surprise) and comfortable to wear. The sleeves feature thumb holes, which come in really handy when it’s not cold enough for gloves. And the material is water resistant with a cozy fleece-lined interior.
Sizes run XS to 2XL. I would say it runs true to size. I’m a small in the size guide, and the small fit well, which is never a guarantee with Amazon.

Im not in the market for this type of coat but I have purchased a few things from amazon essentials recently that were great values for the price! So glad you are enjoying this coat, too. If I had one complaint it would be the sizing range. as a 0p, their items will run a little long and large on me in the XS, but the quality is darn good for Athleisure types of items where fit/running too big is less important to me anyway. I’d put a few of their pieces up against others where I’ve easily paid 3x the price.
I bought the Amazon Essentials knee-length puffer jacket last winter, also for $50. It’s an awesome jacket, particularly for the cost!! It’s warm and remains in great shape after several washes. I ordered a medium and found it to be true to size. At 5’1” it hits right at the knee. A really great value for the money.
I’ll admit that I was fully influenced by Abra to buy this coat, and I’m so glad I did. I’m impressed by the quality for the price. My normal size is 10-12 and I purchased a Large, and it’s just right. I chose ivory and hope I can keep it clean!
