Classics Week: A Tie Neck Blouse

Oct 17, 2019

If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you know that I’m a big fan of a tie-neck blouse.  They have a polished look when knotted under blazers, and they bring a bit of femininity to your wardrobe when worn with a crewneck sweater.  So let’s talk about an affordable tie-neck.

This Lark & Ro tie neck blouse is a great basic.  It comes in 13 colors and prints, including basics like black and ivory, or bolder options like their subtle leopard option.  And I like the higher neckline for wearing under crewnecks and cardigans.

Need a v-neck?  This NY & Co. short sleeve blouse and this long-sleeve option from Gap.

Plus-size?  This Lane Bryant tie-neck in white is nice.  I also like this printed Modcloth blouse.  Petite or tall?  Try this Banana Republic blouse.

Does anyone have any leads on tie neck dresses? I love the look of a tie neck but my wardrobe is primarily dresses.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
