The Find: Mae Loungewear

Sep 12, 2019

With winter approaching, I need to game out a Lazy Sunday wardrobe.  I don’t want to stay in my pajamas all day.  And, truth be told, I want something more relaxed than leggings for my weekend chill time.

So what’s between pajamas and athleisure? Loungewear.

Enter Mae, Amazon’s in-house loungewear brand.  These Open Leg Pants are so soft and comfortable.  They also make a cropped French terry pant that comes in a great soft blush color.  And if you prefer a slimmer leg opening, these joggers look like a good option.

I bought a few things from Mae, and I really like them.  They’re a nice alternative to Lululemon on days when I just want to veg out and watch football, or when it’s really cold in my house.

I highly recommend the Mae supersoft terry joggers and hoodie. Word of warning– it does shed, so you will see soft pills of fabric lying around your house on first wear. The shedding decreases as you wash it. But even with the shedding, the comfort is so high it’s worth it.

I’ve noticed recently you are showcasing more “Amazon in-house” brands. I’ve been hesitant to try any that I come across because I’ve found ‘brands’ (or sellars) I don’t recognize on Amazon to be so inconsistent–not just with sizing, but also with the actual clothing pattern. Do you have any sense of how these in-house brands are operating? Or, alternatively, how to recognize a brand that will have consistency vs the knock-offs that permeate the site? Thanks!

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
