Meet Lucy Paris, Wedding Weekend Savior

Sep 5, 2019

Packing for my wedding was a debacle.  Unable to follow Hitha’s wonderful packing advice, I ended up with my large Away suitcase and my carry-on full to the brim.

The funny part is that even though I had half of my wardrobe packed in the large suitcase, I never once opened it.  Because even though the voices of doubt in my head said I needed backup options, I had chosen my wedding weekend wardrobe so well, that no other picks were needed.  And every dress I wore that weekend was made by Lucy Paris.

I discovered the line because of another blogger and their under-$100 styles, slightly better than Zara quality, and fun, vibrant designs sold me.

Lord knows, I love a wrap dress.  And the balloon sleeve on this Ilana Wrap Dress makes it just a bit more feminine.  This was the perfect dress for our arrival brunch and last-minute planner meetings when paired with a comfortable flat sandal.

Not to be immodest, but breasts have never looked better than they did in the Lana Floral Tie Dress.  If you have a small-to-medium bra size, this is the dress for all of your resort vacations, summertime weddings, and al fresco happy hours.  If there is a beach vacay in your winter plans, grab this dress now.

Moment of truth: It took me 10-minutes to figure out how to put on this dress because the crossover straps had become twisted.  But once it was on, it looked amazing at our Welcome Ice Cream Social.

The Dorothy Cross Smocked Dress has a light femininity to it that is just breathtaking.  If you’d like to avoid a pre-event wardrobe malfunction, this lovely dot print also comes in a feminine top and matching skirt combo.

As for sizing, I’m a size 6 with wider than 6 hips, so I was most comfortable in a medium.  I probably could have fit in the small, but I liked the dress a little looser.  I know this limits sizing choices for some readers, hopefully, this line will become more inclusive over time.

    Hi Belle –
Will we get to see any of your wedding photos? I’d love to see what my favorite blogger’s wedding looked like.
    Thanks.

I was all set to order the first one, but no free shipping even with a full price order of $100– boo. I can’t see taking a chance on an unknown online retailer when it’s going to cost like $20 if it doesn’t work out.

How is the sizing on this? I love the look but I don’t really see sizing information.

When you posted that red dress on Instagram I immediately looked up the designer / shop. Great post!

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
