Don’t Miss Ann Taylor’s Labor Day Sale

Aug 27, 2019

Ann Taylor is hitting the ground running on Labor Day Sales with a little mid-week pick-me-up.  The retailer for working women everywhere is offering 40%-off everything, and an additional 10%-off full-price sweaters and tops with code LASTHURRAH.  Here are my best picks.

These straight ponte pants (also in petite) are such a great alternative too basic navy.  The slate blue just as versatile, but fresher.

This ruched top is so flattering — a great choice for waist definition.  Pair it with the blue pants above and white blazer for work, or grab your best black pencil and killer pumps for a day-to-night look.

A tale of two fall skirts, one wild, one subtle.  I’d pair the leopard with a classic black turtleneck, and the tweed with an ivory sweater.  Both of these are great alternatives to the basic pencil.

Speaking of day-to-night, let’s talk about this boatneck dress.  This is the dress for conventions, conferences, and off-sites.  Wear it to meetings under a jacket or sweater.  Then, break out the big earrings, the tousled waves, and the eyeliner for evening.

Florals for fall.  Yes, florals for fall.  This cute blouse with a bit of a ruffle is a great way to bring a hint of femininity to any cardigan or jacket.  I love the subtlety of the print.

Another month has come and gone, and between a busy work schedule, illness and the search for new childcare, I almost forgot to ask for questions for the AMA.  Luckily, I remembered late last night.  So here we go. In the name of fiscal responsibility, I’m taking a shopping respite through the end of the year.  When you write a fashion blog, not shopping is like being a person on a diet who moves into a McDonald’s.  But I’m determined to flex some self-discipline now that my holiday shopping is done.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
