If I’m making cocktails at home, unless it’s for a party, I do not want my impromptu Happy Hour to include a run to the store. Cocktails with more than five, easily accessible ingredients need not apply. That’s why this Tito’s Greyhound is right up my alley.
At any bar, a Greyhound is vodka and ruby red grapefruit juice. (If they use white grapefruit juice, these people are heretics and you should leave their establishment promptly.) In my home, it’s vodka (always Tito’s, no this isn’t an ad), ruby red grapefruit juice (fresh or Ocean Spray), and a dash of Aperol. If I want it to be less boozy, I add club soda.
Simple.
If you want to “church it up,” you can add a rosemary sugared rim or a few sprigs of mint. But that’s your call. I just want to kick my feet up and have a drink on my patio.
I decided to match my dress to my drink with this decidedly summery Vince Camuto. It’s a playful dress that’s perfect for an August beach vacation. I also liked this $54 tiered maxi dress for a more relaxed choice, and this easy racerback maxi dress from boohoo.
Plus-size? I like this midi-length Taylor dress you could even wear to a casual office. Petite? This Land’s End fit and flare comes in all the size ranges, and it’s got a great relaxed-chic to it.

I’ve never done a greyhound with aperol! YUM. Great suggestion.
