Anniversary Sale: Best of What’s Left

Jul 19, 2019

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now public.  However, the cardmember sale tends to deplete the stock.  Some of the items from my first post are still available, but here is a list of the best of what is left in every department.

Beauty Exclusives. The freshly picked beauty tools and products made for the Anniversary Sale are some of the best deals.  They also sell out the fastest.  So let’s cover them first.

The GloPRO micro-needling device is still a favorite.  This year, they upped it by including tools and products for the whole body. If you’re in your late-30s, this product will help stimulate collagen production and keep lines and scars at bay.

These Artis makeup brushes look weird, but they work phenomenally well.  If you need smooth foundation application, give them a look.  I have one in silver, but I love the all black.

If you’re in the market for hair tools, this sleek GHD straightener and the ever-popular Beachwaver curling iron are both on sale.

Dresses.  This white Harper Rose dress is a good option for summer-to-fall outfits.  This cap-sleeve black Tahari dress also comes in a beautiful mulberry.  This elbow sleeve dress with a ruched waist is available in plus-size, and this misses dress has a similar cut and style.

Other picks include the fabulous Halogen wrap dress and this Vince Camuto belted dress (also in petite).

Tops and Sweaters.  This robin’s egg blue Halogen sweater is fabulous; I love the warm weather color in a fall style.  The high-neck Vince Camuto top next to it has a pretty dotted print.  The oversize buttons on this Something Navy cardigan give it a relaxed feel.  And this peachy twist-front blouse from Chelsea28 is a wonderful choice for work; pair it with a pencil skirt or fitted pant.

Plus-size?  I like this button split-sleeve top and this v-neck knit top.

Shoes. This year was not a good year for the shoe sale.  In past years, I’ve had so many choices that I didn’t know where to begin.  But this year, peanuts.

These Sam Edelman Hiltin Knee Boots caught my eye.  So did these stylish leopard flats from Sam Edelman.  These Vince loafers come in  four colors with a fold down heel that also lets you wear them as mules.

Other Clothing.  Nordstrom’s Moonlight Pajamas are my favorite thing.  They come in four fabulous colors, and they are so cozy.  A definite must.

AG Farrah’s are my favorite jeans, and this lighter wash and ankle style are a nice change from my all dark-jeans wardrobe.  I also liked this $50 bootcut pair that have mesh panels that act like shapewear.

Lastly, the coat selection this year wasn’t great.  But this North Face is the first puffer coat I’ve ever seen that I didn’t hate.  So if you love a warm puffer for cold weather, this is the one for you.

I’m surprised you didn’t find much to like in the shoe section! Blondo has a ton of shoes this year, and I love their waterproofing.

It was A WEEK for me, so I bought myself the GloPRO. I’m so excited!

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
