The Find: A Bold, Red Trenchcoat

Feb 14, 2019

I have been wearing a lot of red this winter.  I’m love the boldness of it in a world full of neutrals.  And this trench coat is the perfect pop of color for winter-into-spring.

This H&M Red Trenchcoat ($59) is such a great piece.  It’s sold out in a few sizes, but is also available in classic tan.  Or stop into a store; a friend found one in her local location.

Need the red?  Try this Superdry coat or this WHBM classic trench.  Need something under-$100?  Try this one from NY&Co.

    Hi Belle!

I love your blog. Thank you for what you do here. It is a bright spot in my day every day. Wondering what you think about single breasted vs double breasted trench coats. Double breasted is classic, but would the single breasted type be more figure flattering?

    Thanks!

This is so fun! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bright red trench before. Very into it.

I love the red coats. But I would never buy a trench coat without a hood. I need a hood when my hands are too full for an umbrella.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
