New Arrivals: Ann Taylor

Feb 13, 2019

“Why do working women wear so much Ann Taylor?”  It’s a question that I get often.  The answer is simple: the hemlines are long enough, the cuts professional enough, the price point reasonable enough, and the style good enough.  Whenever I need something new to wear to work, it’s always the first place I look.  Here are my favorite pieces from their new arrivals.

Matte Jersey Wrap Dress ($98)

Shawl Open Cardigan ($149)

Textured Wrap Top ($80)

Meadow Floral Wrap Dress ($179)

Knot Neck Blouse ($60)

Contrast Tipped Blouse ($90)

Reese Snake Print Leather Pumps ($138)

That floral wrap dress! $179, boo.

  2. Denise says:

I find that I return more from Ann Taylor than any other store. Most of the time it is a fabric choice that is difficult to tell on the website. I did get a lovely cashmere sweater after Christmas there for a heck of a deal though!

You said it. My work wardrobe is 90% AT & BR dresses, and a couple pairs of J. Crew pants tossed in.

The Beauty Edit: An Under-Eye Concealer That Actually Works

My dark under eye circles have been the bane of my existence since I was 12. Is the cause lack of sleep? Dehydration? Sinus issues? Stress? Who the hell knows. But there they are, every day, telling the world that I am an exhausted working Mom.

Saw It On Social: The Battle of the Spendy Swimsuits

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
