Five Stylish Bags Under-$100

Jan 16, 2019

A new accessory can help you jazz up your favorite outfits.  An affordable, stylish bag is a great place to start because you can wear it casually or with your work clothes.  Here are five bags that caught my eye.

Rebecca Minkoff Stella Satchel ($98)

I adore the pinky-taupe color.  It’s a lovely soft neutral.  Very chic.

Mango Flag Pebbled Bag ($30)

The pale blue is a nice accent for navy pieces.  I love the Grace Kelly-esque styling.

Matt & Nat Hilton Satchel ($74)

This is a wonderful, bright tote.  The zip-top is great for security when traveling.

Urban Originals Love Affair Tote ($78)

The neon accent on this bag is very modern and chic.  It also comes in a great burgundy and pink combo.

Aldo Nusz Light Pink Tote ($60)

The pale pink is a nice spring color.  It also looks great with neutrals.

Just FYI — I recently found out that Rebecca Minkoff is a Scientologist, and I find some of the reporting about Scientology to be quite disturbing, so I’ve decided to stop buying her products. Sad, because my first “professional” work bag that I bought when I was in law school was the Rebecca Minkoff MAB tote, and I have fond memories of making that purchase, I felt so grown-up!

Really? Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I find that “church” to be very disturbing as well, especially given the accusations of holding people against their will and the unpaid, slave labor from their young SeaOrg members. Damn. I have fond memories of my first RM MAB also. Thanks for posting.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
