In graduate school, several single friends and I decided to head to a restaurant on Valentine’s Day dressed in the most obnoxious red and pink dresses you can imagine. Ruffles, bows, hearts, sequins, the works. And while I’m not itching to recreate the crimson taffeta holidays of old, that doesn’t mean we can’t indulge in a little holiday spirit. Here are a few items to help you celebrate in style.
This is a fun little envelope clutch from Topshop. The pale blush color is very popular right now. But what I really love about this bag is the simple shape and the sophisticated, modern hardware. If you would like a brighter color, this Loeffler Randall tassel clutch is such fun.
How adorable are the heart-elbow patches on this sweatshirt from Etsy? Elbow patches are a fun way to wear hearts in a subtle way. You can also use this Honestly WTF tutorial to add felted hearts to your own sweaters.
These red tassel heels from Ann Taylor would be a fab shoe to wear for any occasion, but they’re extra fun on Valentine’s Day. If you want something a bit more substantial, I just ordered these block heel pumps from AT in pale pink. They’re a bit retro, and feel very sturdy.
This lip print shirt has a bit of sass to it. I would wear it under a red crewneck sweater with an ivory pencil skirt. For something more subtle, this Maison Scotch sweater has a simple lip embroidery.
This Sydney Evan ring is delicate and whimsical. For a less expensive option, Free People has a similar ring in a two ring set. I also like this dainty heart ring.
I absolutely love the different types of lace on this Ibiza Lace Dress from Free People. It also comes in three other colors, in case you’re not feeling pale pink. For something more mature, I like this dark pink Badgley Mischka dress.
Hey Belle, can you link us to the source for that cute lips print top?

Looks like it is from Express! https://www.express.com/clothing/women/slim-fit-lip-print-portofino-shirt/pro/09702112/cat1920058
Sorry, it was like 3AM. It’s added now. Thanks to the other reader who found it.
I want those AT block heels in NAVY! I bought a nude pair of block heeled shoes last summer but the navy, beautiful. I’ve been obsessed with navy lately- especially the navy and black colour combo I never used to wear but find so chic now. I think it was your blog, Belle, that converted me over to the navy+ black love affair.
Anyway. I need those navy shoes and I’m already picturing all the glorious ways I’ll wear them 🙂
