State of the Blog: New Content Coming Next Week

Jun 16, 2016

As I mentioned last month, some serious changes are coming to this blog.  I thought they would be complete by early-June, but my post-law school burnout was a bit deeper than anticipated.  So it is my sincere hope that now that I have myself back in gear, Sarah and I can finish the design by early-July.

I’ve been spending a lot of my time trying to learn all the “new” technologies that other bloggers seem expert at using.  Because why make being a blogger your full-time job (even if it is just until the February bar exam), if you’re not going to do it right?

As for content, while the old standbys like Ask Belle and Two Ways are definitely staying around, there will be new features and posts as well.  Next week, I’ll be previewing some of the new content in order to gauge interest and work out the kinks.  So I’m taking an extended weekend so I can perfect a few things that I’m really excited about.

See you Monday with the first look at the new Capitol Hill Style.

xo, Belle

I enjoy your beauty product reviews. You are always honest and keep updating your opinions/results.

Unfortunately I tried the Ole Henriksen invigorating night gel you suggested and have been seeing great results. I say unfortunately because it’s so expensive for the full size!

That is such great news, Belle. I have followed your blog for years, and even though I’m no longer in the world of office attire, I appreciate the info you provide in all areas. Keep up the great work!

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
