Dear Belle,
I’m headed to DC for a internship this spring and I’m really excited. I need some jackets for work, probably three or four, but I need to find some for under $100. Have you seen any recently that you liked?
Love the blog! Aryn
If you need affordable workwear, now, with all the holiday sales, is the time to be shopping. Every retailer will be offering pre- and post-Christmas deals, so keep an eye out on your favorite stores to pick up a few bargains.
H&M Jacquard Weave Jacket ($59) // BR Factory Fringe Boucle Jacket ($109) // F21 Open Front Collarless Blazer ($28) // Warehouse Grey Pinstripe Blazer ($89)
H&M has some affordable blazers and jackets. This pleat-front, peplum has a nice look to it. I also like this collarless jacket with black and white fringe. For something unique, this cut-out shoulder jacket would look good with a contrasting blouse underneath.
BR Factory always has a few great jackets at good prices. The fringe jacket above is cool. I also like this mint-colored jacket. As I mentioned above, Banana Republic is having some great sales; so give their blazers a look. This long, tuxedo jacket caught my eye.
Forever21 always has a few good choices. Some jackets are of better quality than others, but for an under-$50 item, they’re not bad. I own the teal and black jacket above. If you work in a creative field, this contemporary drape, cape jacket in white is a chic selection.
The British retailers–Warehouse, Oasis, and Dorothy Perkins–often have stylish workwear. This pinstripe suit jacket above is a sophisticated option. For some color, this berry, ponte jacket from Oasis has a great look to it.
Plus-size? Eloquii has several jackets in the under-$125 price range. This inverted lapel blazer is chic. I also like this Hartwood blazer that they offer in a ton of colors.
Any other stores you ladies love for affordable jackets?
The Limited is having 50%-60% sales off (almost) everything right now so that means lots of blazers under $100.
I’m a fan of Zara blazers, they usually look nice without being expensive. I tend to pick the more classic styles, like this one: https://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/blazers/double-fabric-blazer-c756615p3041544.html. Definitely size up if you’re bustier.
I own and wear SO many blazers, and most are from Zara and right around $100. The Tuxedo Style Blazer (https://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/blazers/tuxedo-style-blazer-c756615p3106523.html) is nice, though it runs a bit smaller through the arms. I own a previous-year version of this blazer (https://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/blazers/double-fabric-blazer-c756615p3041544.html) in several colors, and love it. This lightly peplum-ed blazer is cute (https://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/blazers/blazer-with-pleated-hem-c756615p3049036.html), as is this one (https://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/blazers/double-fabric-blazer-c756615p3041543.html). And I just bought this slightly cropped blazer (https://www.zara.com/us/en/woman/blazers/jacket-with-shoulder-pads-c756615p2864440.html) to wear with work dresses — super cute! Good luck!
Zara has the best blazers for the price!
