Ask Belle: Leather Pencil Skirts for Fall

I have dozens more Ask Belle emails in my inbox.  I answer most of them individually, but there are a lot of topics that I think will resonate with the group.  So let’s reach back into the mail bag.

Belle,

You posted about leather pencil skirts last fall.  I thought you were off your rocker, but I’m totally warming up to the idea.  Have you seen any this year that you thought were suitable for office wear?  All the ones I find are too short.

Sometimes it take a little while for a style to grow on you.  Leather pencil skirts are a great way to add some spice to your wardrobe without stepping out of bounds.  Here are a few leather skirts that I think are perfect for work.

I have a black faux leather pencil skirt that I wear to work. I de-sexify it by wearing it with a chunky/bulkier sweater and, depending on the weather, tights. It seems to work fine and I love the look!

I own the green Ann Taylor faux leather skirt, and I pair it with a black blouse and some pumps. I absolutely love it, and I find it very professional looking. I think the right length plays a huge part in keeping this professional.

I have the black AT skirt from last year and I love it. Gives me some variety besides wool in the winter.
