Ask Belle: Stylish Workday Dresses

Sep 21, 2015

Hi Belle,

Your date dresses post got me thinking about my work dress situation.  I’m looking for some dresses.  Fall colors would be great.  Or just something different.

Can’t wait to see what you pick.  Best, Katee

You ladies know that I love a good work dress.  I like the simplicity and femininity of wearing dresses.  I also find them to be much more comfortable than pants or skirts.

When I look for work dresses, I want something fitted and knee-length, preferably with a sleeve.  I like dresses that offer a little something extra–a bold neckline, a bold color, a unique shape, etc..  Here are a few that fit the bill.

I love wearing dresses to work as well, but I struggle with finding necklines that are flattering and work appropriate since I have a large bust. High necklines accentuate my bust, and deeper v-necks as shown on some of the dresses above show too much cleavage. I’d love more dresses with a higher v-neck like the Lola sheath.

I’m not particularly busty, but crew necks aren’t particularly flattering on me either. Higher Vs are definitely more flattering yet for some reason harder to find.
