This look from Corporate Catwalk is crisp and chic. For conservative offices, it’s a great casual Friday option. For more relaxed offices, it’s a fabulous workday outfit. It’s a fantastic way to wear white pants to work during the waning days of summer.
One. A striped oxford is a versatile addition to your wardrobe. This mandarin collar blouse is nice. I also like this basic button-up from Ann Taylor and this one from Talbot’s, both under-$50. Plus-size? Land’s End makes a reliably good oxford shirt.
Looking for other ways to wear the shirt? I like it with jeans and red shoes. Or try it with a brightly colored pencil skirt.
Two. The pop of red lipstick and polish with this outfit is what makes it for me. Simple, elegant clothing with a burst of bright red. Timeless.
Three. A few years ago, I thought chunky watches were a passing fad. Now, they’re a little slimmer, but still make a statement. This slim watch from Michael Kors is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This A-Line women’s watch has a similar look for $69.
Four. A pair of white or ivory crepe trousers is a year-round staple for me. I wear them with colors and light neutrals in the summer, black and camel in the winter.
Looking for a cheaper pair? This Classiques Entier pair have a elegant look to them ($93, also in petite). I also like this crepe pair from Talbot’s for under-$50. Tall? Try these Worthington pants from JCPenney.
Five. This grey bag from Merci Marie is a great piece. For something with a bit more flare, try this Erica Annenberg bag with interesting hardware. I also like this under-$50 satchel from Target.
Six. Olivia is wearing open-toe shoes in the photo, but I prefer something closed-toe for work. Michael Kors flex pumps are my favorite shoes. The sole is rubber to absorb shock, and the shoe is flexible for comfort.
This is their mid-heel height. The shoes also come in a higher heel. I also like these INC heels (in four colors) if you’re looking for something under-$75.
Incredivle Look! Loved!

I love how white trousers look but I am so terrified to commit to purchasing a pair. I am entirely convinced that I will destroy them even though I am not a particularly messy person. Maybe I could have them treated with something stain-resistant. Wait – isn’t that a thing for mens trousers? Pretty sure I’ve never seen it in ladies’ wear.
