Living in a rainier climate than D.C., my trench is not getting the job done. My more casual cohorts at the law school wear rain gear from Columbia to stay dry. That’s all fine and good, but not exactly a heavy hitter in the style department.
I’ve written about rain coats before. But I finally found a water-resistant coat that I wanted to buy for the style, not just the functionality. Behold…
I am digging this coat. The slouchy shape is very modern without being too trendy. It also comes with a hood. You can choose from navy, stone, and black.
I adore this coat so much, I’m kind of looking forward to the next rainy day. I can’t believe I just said that.
I wish Everlane went higher than a size 8-10. I really hate when places will have an XS, but not an XL. And a size 8 really isn’t that large. This jacket looks awesome!
I was not sure about their sizing either, but I took a chance on their T-shirts and they fit fine. I always wear an XL on top for broad shoulders and bust, so was happy that their “L” seemed to be more inclusive. They err on the side of a drapey almost boxy fit.
hmm that’s good to know. I generally wear a 16, and their size chart says a L is an 8-10, so I figured there was no way it would fit.
I purchased this anorak from Everlane in the Navy when they first launched them and LOVE it. So stylish, keeps the rain off and great quality. Cute little spring jacket and I get tons of compliments when I wear it.
How do you (or Belle, as well) like the water resistant feature? I worry that because it’s not waterproof, it’s not really as functional as a real raincoat.
Does it rustle? It looks like it might.
Ack I love this coat so much but it’s way too long for someone 5’0″. Wish they made petite sizes!
