Pinterest has become my favorite place to waste time. Instagram leads to doomscrolling; Pinterest is straight joy scrolling. Will I make the recipes I save? Likely not, do I like to imagine that I am the woman who will? Yes, I do. It’s also a great place to find outfit inspiration, gorgeous decor, and more.
Last night, it fed me the most gorgeous shoes. Shoes I rushed to buy. And I don’t rush to purchase things much anymore, because my GLP-1 has taken impulsive buying off of the menu. Proving that if you lovingly tend your algorithm, it will take care of you.

Look at them. 2.75 heel. Cool, but classic. Suede for fall. And just cute as hell.
Yes, they are $398. I am not going to pretend they are affordable. But I will wear these with anything — suits, dresses, separates. I will treat them with protectant, I will baby them a bit. I bet I still own them 7+ years from now given that I’ve had the same J.Crew pumps since they discontinued them in 2011.
Also, they have the most amazing leopard ones. Sadly, the trim is a coral-pink. It’s not too noticeable, but if it had been black, I’d have purchased both pairs. I know, a big spend. But my shoe wardrobe is very boot heavy right now, and I need more pumps for fall/spring wear.

I will skimp on many things, but not shoes! As far as I’m concerned, happy feet = happy face.
This is how I justify Ferragamo Varas
Agree completely.
Just a thought – depending on how much weight you are trying to lose with the GLP1, my feet changed size. I was an 8.5 or 8W before I started the process (at 255), and now wear a 7.5 (at 125). My guess is that if you are only losing 20-30lbs you are likely OK, but it is something to think about.
I’ve lost 15, and I’d like to lose 15 more and go to a maintenance dose. But that’s good to know about the shoes.
Sidebar- same boat with Pinterest but I hate how sponsored content and ads take up seemingly 90% of posts. I saw on IG that when searching, you add a curse word (f**k, s**t) and it gets you ad free results. Something about how the algorithms were built. Can confirm it works
