Work Wednesday: A Simple Suit

During the legislative session, I had to get dressed in a suit or a blazer every day. One month back in my business casual life and, to an extent, I miss it. Part of me will always feel the most myself in a suit.

T Tahari is a great suit brand, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been working for years. It’s an affordable, good quality suit that never disappoints.

I love the cut of this navy Tahari blazer. Sleek, one button, perfectly placed pockets. A great blazer, especially for ~$150.

A sleeveless shell is a great under layer. The sleeves are wide enough to cover bra straps, but the look is summery and won’t add bulk to the arms. This one from Vince Camuto has a great pleated neckline and comes in four great colors. This light blue pairs well with navy.

These Tahari trouser pants aren’t too wide leg or skinny, they’re Goldilocks trousers. A must have.

If you love a navy suit, a navy heel is a must have. This pair from Marc Fisher have a block heel for stability, and the 3″ heel is a great mid-height.
