When I returned from Session, I started the long spring cleaning process. I put off my own closet — which has become a haphazard mix of smaller size clothes that will never fit again, suits I don’t need as often, casual clothes that I have worn out and sentimental pieces I’m holding onto for Sloane — until the end. But when it came time to tackle it, I started with the shoes. And once I cleared out all of the size 8.5s that don’t fit post pregnancy and the shoes that had more dust on them than a library of unread books, it was time to pick up a few pairs for spring.

Zappos is having a 20% sale on their most popular spring styles, and since I could use a good bargain these days, I keep my choices to that list. When there are great shoes on the list it’s easy.
One. These Marc Fisher slingbacks caught my eye because they’re perfect with dresses or pants for the office. They’re a real shoe, pointed toe and everything, but they have a lighter vibe to them. I love the fishnet mesh. They also come in a lighter tan and a black, which you could wear 9-months of the year anywhere without snow on the ground.
Two. Need casual, cute sneakers to wear with summer dresses? I bought these Adidas sneakers the second I saw them. Low-profile. Subtle, not shiny metallic. Adore. I also love these white sneakers from Madden with scalloped velcro closures.
Three. I cannot wear jellies. I have tried and tried. That soft plastic tears up my feet. So I purchased these woven Sam Edelman flats instead. I love how the light blue blends with jeans seamlessly, but also looks incredible with black shorts or a white dress.
Four. This is the second pair of Crocs that I have promoted on the blog this year. Perhaps, they make a treatment program for such a problem? Regardless, these Brooklyn sandals mimic the chunky look of a Birkenstock, and come in a lot of great colors. Between these sage green ones and my Crocs Miami two strap sandals, my pool deck shoe selection is looking great.
Five. Need a non-Crocs sandal for summer? Something made of leather that could be worn to a casual wedding or the beach? This toe-ring sandal from Tkees caught my eye for the simple styling and the easy, but versatile look.
Six. For those of us who still need a heel for work or court or evening, finding a comfortable, chic one can be complicated. However, these pumps are Naturalizer (not that they look it) with a cool, dramatic pointed vamp and a cushioned sole for walking. You need these. I bought two colors.
