Once upon a time, I shopped nearly every day. I was afflicted, as most influencers are, with a belief that purchases could change my life. Now, I realize that women don’t have the money or the motivation to shop every day. That kind of consumerism isn’t sustainable for our budgets, our closets or the planet.
Today, I take my shopping much more seriously. I add a lot of things to cart that I don’t end up buying (the dopamine addiction is real), and the things I buy, I need to use them and love them. So when I review a product, I don’t want decent or okay, I want awesomeness. Here are some products that I’ve purchased over the last few months and how I felt about them.
I don’t use a blender often, but for making small batches of green spaghetti sauce for Sloane or smoothies, I hate to dirty a large blender. The Beast has been a great addition to my kitchen because I can make small batches, seal the container and save leftovers. It’s become an item that I use frequently.
My husband and I own a lot of sunglasses. Recently, we needed a solution to keep Sloane’s little hands off of our pricey specs. This hanging bar is perfect for that. They keep the sunglasses accessible and out of Sloane’s grasp. My only recommendation is that you use a Command strip to hang them to save your paint.
I needed to replace a couple of pairs of leggings. I feel like I purchased every Amazon pair, but the quality of my previously adored leggings is worse than the first pairs I bought. So I purchased these Elation leggings, and I love them. They’re soft, allow free movement, are very comfortable, and the high rise smooths my post-baby body without constricting. Highly recommend.
I tossed this shirt into my cart when I purchased a dark brown cardigan. The two pieces look fabulous together. This AT Perfect Shirt is a great basic. The material is a good weight. The style is versatile, switching from casual to professional. Very happy with this purchase.
I needed a dress to wear to dinner, to work, to conferences, and to family events. I didn’t want black, but chocolate brown is the new black, so I purchased this Ann Taylor Midi Dress. The twist is great if for shaping and draping. The style is very versatile. Frankly, I couldn’t be happier with it. It also comes in black and petite sizes.

The blender is so pretty in addition to being practical.
Chocolate brown is such a THING this fall – do you have any recommendations for a short sleeve chocolate brown sweater to use as a layering piece?
OMG when we lived in Hawaii, we finally broke down and bought a slightly hideous slightly benign sunglass holder that we stuck to the side of our fridge w a magnet. It holds like 20 pairs of sunglass, because not only do my husband and I have a lot, but so do our kids now. Best decision ever.
