It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.
I’ve decided to begin my search for warmth with sweater jackets. Specifically, this sweater jacket from LOFT that has an amazing texture and a light feel. It comes in this versatile ivory and a verdant green for spring.
For sizing, the sweater is available in misses and petite, sizes run XXS to XXL. Be advised that it is very fitted, and as such runs a bit small. I recommend sizing up. The size guide says I should be an S, I bought the M and it fits comfortably close to the body.
I like these sweater jackets because they look professional in the office, but fit comfortably, so they’re easy to wear on WFH days. LOFT also has this fantastic black sweater jacket with an open work detail to lighten it up for the season.
I am also completely smitten with this tweed jacket from LOFT. The bright orange is so fun for the warmer months. It looks so good with white separates, but I’d pair it with this $15 orange striped top and a pair of easy, light wash jeans.

Sold out in size M and no ivory left in petites. SAD! If you ever wanted to do a lookalike post … I’m here for it. That sweater jacket is sooo cute.
I bought a very similar ivory sweater at Uniqlo. I’ve worn it twice and gotten tons of compliments! It’s not as sheer as this one but still airy for spring.
Sincere question- what makes the first one a sweater jacket and not a cardigan?
Is the orange sweater jacket still available!?
White?
Yes, they’re both still available through the links.
