The Find: Ann Taylor’s Late Summer Styles

Jul 25, 2023

Yes, it’s 1,000 degrees outside and August Recess is not yet here, but it’s time to start thinking about fall.  At least, in terms of clothing.  Because if you’re going to buy something new, you should at least be able to wear it for a few more months.  And Ann Taylor understands that.

Their newest drop contains some beautiful pieces in colors and prints that will transition seamlessly from summer to fall.  Seriously, I think this is my favorite AT drop in a long time.

I told you.  The collection is gorgeous, and this plum tie waist dress is top of the list.  It’s fantastic solo or under a blazer/cardigan.  The color is also available in several other pieces, including a pair of tights for those of us who like to observe the 2/3 rule.

Sizes run 00-18.  (AT has finally expanded sizes into the 18-22 range in several pieces, and I mean, finally.)  And the dress is also available in petite.

The other big color in the AT palette is this rusty brick hue.  There are so many incredible pieces in this color, but this dotted top is my favorite.  Pair it with these pants for a chic look.

Want to blend the two palettes?  Pair this lilac and brick floral print with a dark purple sweater.  I promise, it works.

Okay, real question here. I would LOVE to wear this, but I avoid styles like this due to underarm sweat. Does it really work to have a seamstress sew an underarm pad into dresses? Other options? Thanks!

Ah. Lovely. Looks like rare dress that truly could go from the office to a reception/dinner. Also love AT’s ways to wear it feauture. Reminds me of my favorite blogger’s extremely helpful content. 🙂

Which pieces from AT are running to the extended sizes (18-22)? They are not even showing those sizes on their size chart.

The Beauty Edit: Neck Creams

Nora Ephron was right: I feel bad about my neck. As I move through my forties, the creases have turned into chasms. The skin sags like a pair of sweatpants with aging elastic. It’s not great. But it’s just a natural part of getting older. Over the past year, it feels like I’ve tried every […]
