The Find: A Crossbody Bag for Summer
Jun 20, 2023
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you know that I might be the last influencer who doesn’t own a Chanel or Louis designer bag. I’m very hard on handbags, and I’ve never been able to forget what an expensive bag costs, so I end up babying anything over $250. Luckily, there are a number of fantastic bags in the more affordable price points that I can knock around without worry.
With chevron-quilting and a roomy interior, this mid-price crossbody bag from Quince is a fabulous piece. The Quince brand creates affordable pieces that are sometimes shockingly well made. It’s not often you see a full leather bag for under-$150. And the selection of colors is everything you need for a better-than-basic bag.
I also remove the strap and use it in my laptop as a pouch when I travel. My only complaint is that the strap is a little thin. Not to worry though, you can pick up an after market canvas or leather strap if it bugs you.
Quince has a lot of great bags in mid-price points. I like this pebbled leather sling bag for a “fanny pack” look. And I picked up this money clip-wallet for my husband.

I was JUST looking at this Quince bag the other day! It’s gorgeous.
Also, I forget if you recommended the Killed podcast here or on Instagram but thank you for that!! I’m hooked.
I also have this bag and really like it! Agree that the strap is too thin – thanks for the reminder that I can easily fix that problem.
I also have this purse in Cognac, and I love it. Like Abra, I am very hard on my purses and so I don’t buy purses that are more than $400. I’m also a working mom lawyer on the go and so crossbody purses are my go-to. The quality of this purse for the price is excellent. And I personally like not being a walking billboard for a brand, so I like that it’s simple with no branding.
In general I have a lot of quince items. I think I bought a silk blouse based on a CHS feature and then started buying other clothes. The clothes – nice staples – are a very good value and quality for the price. I wore two fishermen sweaters all through the winter and they held up to washes in the washer like champs – much better than my Free People ottoman sweaters. ????
