I envy influencers and bloggers whose purchases always make sense.  Perfectly curated and matched in muted color palettes or bold prints, that clarity has always slightly eluded me.  Sometimes, I just need to buy a pair of neon sneakers, and it doesn’t matter that they don’t match anything, okay?  

Other times, my recent finds don’t fit neatly into a blogging category.  What if I really like a vegetable peeler?  Am I supposed to keep that information to myself simply because I’m not a food blogger?  And what if I want to talk about the peeler and the hallway runner I just bought?  Where am I supposed to do that?

Meet, Add to Cart, a feature for the purchases I want to talk about (need to talk about, if I’m being honest), but don’t really fit in on this professional style blog.  Because maybe you need a vegetable peeler, a hallway runner, and a better baby bottle too.

Meet the peeler.  This handy Amazon device will peel potatoes like it was born to do it.  It also makes thinly sliced zucchini and cucumbers for a veggie sandwich. (I swap the mint for spinach.)  And, buckle up, this thing also juliennes.  Need matchstick carrots without buying the $8 bag of shredded carrots that rots in a week?  Buy that $3.99 1lb bag of regular carrots and julienne them yourself with a flick of the wrist.

Are you or someone you love using the Dr. Brown’s bottles?  Are you going nuts from washing all of the funnels and parts with that tiny pipe cleaner?  Hey, me too.  Enter the Smilo bottle.  Vented to prevent excess air from entering the baby’s stomach (just like the Brown’s), but with fewer parts to wash.  You can thank me later.

When Kyle and I married in 2019, we opted not to register for home goods.  That was a mistake.  Four years and one pandemic later, our plates and pots and knives are looking worse for wear.  Now, we can’t agree on which dishes to buy.

He wants something traditional (which is a surprise since he puts green laces in his shoes) and I want something more modern.  But the Mikasa Country White plates my parents bought for my first post-college apartment in 2005 cannot handle anymore.

Enter outdoor dishes from West Elm.  These melamine dishes have the heft of a nice dish, but with the durability of plastic.  The color combinations are great (be warned the celadon is more like sage).  And two sets will take care of daily dishes for almost any size household for under-$275.  These would be great dishes for a college grad headed out on their own.

I needed a placeholder runner.  Eventually, I will style our new pantry-entry way, but until then, I need something to protect my floor and my feet.  This $100 runner had everything I was looking for: 1) a neutral color palette, 2) a short pile that could be washed and vacuumed, 3) a reasonable price, and 4) non-slip backing.  Done.
