My summer Friday work look hasn’t changed in years.  I love a wrap dress layered under a structured blazer or cardigan.  It’s the type of item you can commute in looking casual in sandals, and then add a work shoe and topper for the office.  So this affordable dress is right up my alley.

This Everyday Wrap Dress from Nordstrom Rack is the perfect jersey wrap.  It comes in five colors, but this dusty mauve is my favorite.  Sizes run 00-16.

Rack has a selection of short-sleeve wraps and long-sleeve wraps.  I love this dotted wrap dress with a breezier look and this similar plus-size dress.  This hot pink maxi dress is also fun for summer.

Some of you may be concerned about a jersey wrap because the material can be a little showy.  If you’re concerned about that, I recommend either a pair of shorts or a body shaper.  Another option is just to size up so the dress fits more loosely.  Because it is a wrap you can cinch it a bit tighter and adjust the neckline with the Microstitch device to keep everything work appropriate.
