Work Dress Week: A Printed Sheath Dress

Apr 27, 2023

My work dress wardrobe has become a bit dark.  Lots of black.  Lots of navy.  So I thought I would add a great print in a work-friendly color palette to liven things up.

This Alexia Admor Abstract Print Sheath is a great piece.  It’s available at both Nordstrom Rack and Kohl’s in different sizes.  Both retailers are charging under-$100 for the piece.  The dress also comes in a handful of solid colors, including a vibrant red.

If you like an abstract of geometric print, check out this dress with elbow-length sleeve and this plus-size wrap dress.  This Donna Morgan shift dress is also worth a look.  Need a plus-size work dress?  This dotted sheath with a tie waist is worth a look.

Has anyone actually tried on the Alexia Admor dress in person? How is the quality? It looks like it might be cheap and not fit properly, but I can’t tell.

I have it in red. I found the fabric to be thick enough, though it is a scuba-like texture. I had the zipper replaced after a few wears because it stuck, but I don’t know if that was all the zippers or just that one.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
