The Find: Fantastic Work Pants for Spring

Apr 3, 2023

The warm weather has arrived, and I am in the mood for color.  Easter week or not, I would prefer to stay away from pastels.  I need a bold, sophisticated color.  Something with pop.  Luckily, these office-appropriate trousers cost under-$100.

Mango has a lot of wonderful pieces, but these Palazzo Pants are calling my name.  The leg is wide, but not too wide.  The gorgeous fuchsia hue is bold without being over the top.  And the price is so good ($59!), they basically added themselves to my cart.

For work, I will probably pair them with this mesh-trim black top and a black blazer, with a simple slingback.  For a professional, but relaxed, Friday look, pair it with this sheer-sleeve, striped blouse.

With Mango, you should always size up, especially if you are in between sizes.  Sizes run from 2-14.  For a plus-size option in a similar color, try Dia & Co.

What goes around, comes around! This outfit instantly made me think of an older post of yours: https://caphillstyle.com/capitol/2013/02/14/two-ways-sheer-swiss-dot-blouse.html

I had the cobalt Express pants and the swiss dot blouse (RIP Piperlime) and wore both extensively. I love the modern and updated look and loved the nostalgia! I’d love to see more like this!

I bought the pink pants andy they are amazing. I am betweeen sizes right now and I sized up and they fit perfectly. They do run very long, I was nervous because they don’t list the inseam on the website and I need tall sizes, but this pair was long enough for me to wear with a medium heel without alterations. Probably a 34″ inseam with another 2″ hem.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
