The Find: A Pretty Spring Top

Mar 30, 2023

When you work in a professional office, it’s difficult to find pieces that you can wear for both work and weekend.  So when you find a cool piece that works for both, you need to snap it up.  This pretty top from Ann Taylor just fell hard onto my wishlist.

How great is this short-sleeve eyelet blouse?  This Ann Taylor top has great details (I adore the ruffled collar), and I’m always grateful to find a warm-weather top with sleeves.  The sizing runs XXS-XXL.

You can pair this top with jeans or casual pants for Friday.  For Monday, I would add a textured pencil skirt and matching suit jacket.  It’s a soft look for the business-professional office.

It’s like you read my mind. I have been looking for this exact type of shirt this year: white, short sleeve, appropriate for work or weekend, some kind of interesting detail, not 100% poly. It’s been surprisingly hard to find any that really grab me (I mean I guess I’m picky but why are so many tops right now completely shapeless or for some reason adding lots of volume to the upper arm?!). Thank you for this!

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
