Today’s outfit ideas come with a side of Parisian chic. A cardigan with stylish gold buttons pairs well with business and casual pieces. Add one to your closet and open up a world of outfit possibilities.
The Cardigan. The gold buttons on this H&M Knitted Cardigan add a little something extra. They lift the cardigan from the basic and give it enough oomph to stand in for a sleek blazer. And the <$75 price tag doesn’t hurt either.
I know some of you will be wary of the chest pockets. This FarFetch cardigan holds onto the Jackie O vibes minus the pockets. This tunic-length, v-neck cardigan gives you a similar look in a more casual package.
For the Office. This bow-neck blouse is a classic with a modern twist. The white trim on this Reiss blouse gives it a high-end look for under-$150. Want the look for less? Here it is in white from NY&Co. (also in tall and petite) and black from Walmart. Plus-size? I couldn’t find the exact look, but Eloquii has several black and white options.
To complete this Parisian-inspired look, I added a pair of chic slingbacks from Jack Rogers. Prefer a pump? Try these <$100 block heel pumps from Saks Off 5th.
You could pair this look with a black pleated skirt or a black pant. If you want something a bit more fun, try it with a pair of pink trousers and a pink slingback flat.
As for the styling, this is an outfit that cries out for a slightly messy, low updo. Get that good volume with a texture spray. You might also think about a red nail, not true red, but a deeper red.
For Sunday Brunch. Add a cool graphic tee under a dressier cardigan to relax it. This J.Crew Factory tee has a cool look but it’s subtle. This Abercrombie tee is fun too, and cut a little shorter for an on-trend look. Or if you’d like to keep it a bit more streamlined, try a Comme de Garcons striped tee with the heart detail.
These Missoma hoop earrings are a little but more fun than your standard hoops. Or, for the ultimate in cool girl chic, try these Roxanne Assoulin hoops in black enamel with twinkle detail.
You could pair this look with a pair of distressed jeans or with a pair of white jeans. I would also try them with a pair of sneakers — Converse or something cooler.
This is the kind of outfit that I would pair with a high, bouncy ponytail to make it more playful. I might even add a ribbon bow.
